One of my favorite evangelistic/outreach stories in the bible is the Song of Solomon. The woman is given no name. She is as each of us, ordinary. She allows life to get in the way of her relationship. When she goes to look for her Love, not everyone is encouraging. Yet the burning love in her heart would not let her quit. When confronted and mocked she described who He was. At the sound of her testimony, those around her sought Him too. In John 12:32 Jesus said, "And when I am lifted up from the earth I will draw all men unto Me."
The scariest part of evangelism/outreach is the doubt that floods in. Am I worthy? What can I do? Will it make a difference? If you love Jesus, you are worthy. If all you can do is show your love for Him, you have all you need to do the job. If you follow Jesus and love Him with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind (Luke 10:27) you will make the difference the world needs.
